Scotto & Associés has advised Pierre Bastid during its €50 million increase to the capital of Carmat (listed on Alternext), the designer and developer of the world's most advanced artificial heart project, which aims to offer a therapeutic alternative to people suffering from biventricular heart failure.

The Pierre Bastid Group has acquired an equity interest in Carmat alongside Airbus Group, Truffle Capital, and new investors including Air Liquide, Bpifrance, the French State and the family office of Dr Ligresti.

The Scotto & Associés team was formed of Thomas Bourdeaut, partner, and Alexandra Pérette.
