Scotto & Associés has assisted the Armacell management team during a quaternary LBO orchestrated by Blackstone, which has succeeded Charterhouse, Bridgepoint and CVC as the group's majority shareholder.

The group, which is historically based in Germany, is the leading stakeholder in flexible insulation. It owns 24 production sites across 16 countries and 4 continents. With a 2015 turnover of €555 million, the group is expecting to experience sustained growth thanks to its ever more demanding energy efficiency and environmental aims in the fields of construction and transport.

The firm's team was formed of Isabelle Cheradame, partner, and Tessa Parodi de Schonen and Cristina Narvaez for corporate aspects, and Jérôme Commerçon, partner, and Laurence Gautier for tax aspects.

Other advisers on the transaction:

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett (Michael Wolfson) assisted Blackstone

Hengeler Mueller (Hans-Jörg Ziegenhain, Steffen Oppenländer) and Weil, Gotshal & Manges (Christian Tappeiner) assisted Charterhouse
