Scotto Partners advises Filippo Monteleone and Domnin de Kerdaniel in the acquisition of Essling Capital

Essling Capital, an independent investment company specializing in unlisted assets, has announced a change of ownership of the group with Filippo Monteleone, president and founder of CAREIT, and Domnin de Kerdaniel (CVC Capital Partners, 3i, KKR) taking the helm.

Since its inception, Essling Capital (€450m in assets under management) has developed a range of alternative investment solutions, including a co-Investment program in Europe and the United States (“Essling Co-Invest”) and a Small & Mid Cap Lead Investment program aimed at high-growth companies in the digital, healthcare and B2B services sectors (“Essling Expansion”).

Domnin de Kerdaniel and Filippo Monteleone become respectively CEO and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Essling Capital. They will continue to develop the investment strategy with the current teams (Essling Co-Invest and Essling Expansion): “We share the ambition to further consolidate the solutions that have been deployed and intend to launch an investment initiative dedicated to the European healthcare sector in the near future”, declares Filippo Monteleone.”

Scotto Partners acted as joint counsel to Filippo Monteleone and Domnin de Kerdaniel in the formalization and implementation of their shareholder and governance agreements. The Scotto team was led by Adrien Badelonand Charlotte Hazan (counsel) on the corporate aspects, and Jérôme Commerçon (partner) assisted by Martine Le Roux and Pierre-Henri Abadie as to tax aspects.
